The 2026 Subaru WRX lineup delivers exceptional performance across the lineup, starting with the 271-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER® engine and the legendary Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
The 2026 Subaru WRX will arrive in dealers this spring with a starting price of $32,495 (MSRP). Compared to the 2002 Subaru WRX, which set the standard for compact sport sedans, the new 2026 WRX is priced virtually the same when adjusted for inflation, but has significantly more equipment and features.
The 2026 Subaru WRX is offered in six trim levels: Base, Premium, Limited, GT, tS and Series.Yellow. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on all trim levels except the GT. The Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT) is available in the “Limited” trim level and is standard equipment in the “GT” trim level.

SPT offers precise gear changes, including adaptive shift control that responds quickly with rev-matched downshifts when braking and maintains an ideal gear ratio when exiting corners, SI-Drive engine power management, automatic vehicle hold and automatic reverse braking.
Visually, the 2026 Subaru WRX is distinguished by its iconic hood scoop and striking hexagonal grille, flanked by compact LED headlights. The “WRX” emblem is noticeable on some trim levels with a red emblem on the grille, trunk lid and front floor mats. The Dawn Yellow exterior color returns to the 2026 WRX series. This color is limited to 350 units based on the tS equipment line.
Inside, every 2026 Subaru WRX is equipped with an 11.6-inch Subaru Multimedia Plus system with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto compatibility, SiriusXM with 360L and SiriusXM Travel Link® (4-month free trial), HD Radio, rearview camera and Bluetooth® hands-free calling and audio streaming.
By 2026, all Subaru WRX models will be equipped with Subaru EyeSight® driver assistance technology and DriverFocus® distraction reduction system, including manual transmission models. On manual transmission vehicles, EyeSight® includes advanced adaptive cruise control with lane centering, emergency braking, lane departure and roll warning, and pre-collision braking. (A pre-collision throttle management system is included on models with SPT.)
