Bentley today launches the new Continental GT S and GTC S, inspired by the limited edition Supersports and expanding the Continental range. Combining a striking visual presence with the Continental GT Speed’s latest hybrid drive and chassis technology, the S models are specifically aimed at drivers seeking maximum performance.
The fourth generation of the Continental GT S is the fastest and most powerful to date with the S badge and is based on the same driver-focused motto as the Supersports.
With 680 hp and 930 Nm, the high-performance hybrid drivetrain of the new S models is 130 hp more powerful than that of the previous generation GT S. At full power, it accelerates dizzyingly, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 s) and reaching a top speed of 305 km/h, always accompanied by the exciting sound of a sport Exhaust that emphasizes the crossplane rhythm of the 4.0 liter V8.
A marvel of advanced engine technology, the high-performance hybrid powertrain even surpasses the previous generation W12 Speed engine in all power, torque and performance parameters and achieves a range of up to 80 km in pure electric mode.
This advanced powertrain is complemented by a chassis setup previously only available on the GT Speed and GT Mulliner models, incorporating the Bentley Performance Active Chassis. These include active all-wheel drive, dual-valve dampers, torque distribution (front-rear and between axles), the active 48V Bentley Dynamic Ride stabilization system, a new generation of ESC control software and, for the first time in a Continental GT S, an electronic limited-slip differential and four-wheel steering. This is Bentley’s most advanced driver-focused all-wheel drive chassis configuration, designed for maximum appeal and sporting performance.
This configuration gives the driver access to a greater variety of driving modes and behaviors on the road or track. When the vehicle’s advanced ESC system is fully activated, traction is controlled to prevent oversteer. In dynamic mode, the vehicle allows a certain amount of slip on the rear axle, allowing the driver to control cornering posture and maintain the confidence to get back on track if necessary. The ESC system can also be completely deactivated, allowing the driver to adopt a balanced cornering posture when accelerating, providing a truly exciting driving experience.
The sporty character of the new S models is clearly visible at first glance. The Blackline specification highlights the dark front lower spoiler with gloss black matrix grilles, while black Bentley fenders and BENTLEY lettering define the style, giving these models a purposeful, sleek and powerful presence. These powerful visual features are complemented by mirror caps, sill extensions and a rear diffuser in Beluga Black.
Dark-tinted LED matrix headlights in the Bentley Precision design are a feature unique to the GT Speed. At the rear, the S version includes dark-tinted taillights and sports exhaust tips. While 22-inch ten-straight-spoke alloy wheels are available in silver as standard, Continental GT S models are available with a variety of wheel options, including a ten-straight-spoke alloy wheel in gloss black with bright machined surfaces and a gloss black version.
The same attention to detail has been applied to the interior, giving the Continental GT S models a unique visual identity. The two-tone upholstery is exclusive to these models and, together with the ribbed design of the seats, creates a performance-oriented driving environment. The tactile technical fabric Dinamica is used on key touch points such as the steering wheel, gear lever, seats and door inserts. The standard Piano Black finish is reminiscent of the exterior’s Blackline specification design style, although high-gloss carbon fiber and other finishes are available as options. Other options include full leather upholstery and dark-tinted chrome for all light metallic interior elements.
