With Gemini it’s possible to get more out of every ride because you can control everything that matters on the go without having to use your hands. It is a highly personalized and highly integrated in-vehicle tool that allows drivers to complete complex tasks through natural conversations over multiple laps without having to remember specific commands. The driver can concentrate on driving and no longer has to look at the center screen.
For example, drivers can ask Gemini to check their email inbox for a hotel reservation address, check whether an item they just purchased will fit in the trunk of their EX60, or brainstorm ideas for their next road trip. The EX60 includes the latest version of HuginCore, Volvo Cars’ central system that gives the vehicle the ability to think, process and act, named after the bird of Norse mythology Hugin (Thought). This is the first time that Volvo Cars has named its core system, which includes the proprietary electrical architecture, central computer, zone controls and software in the EX60 – a true software-defined vehicle.
