The company said the solutions will significantly reduce traffic costs and latency
Tata Communications on Friday launched three AI-enabled suite of platforms and solutions for businesses. In conversation with businesslineAccording to the company, this will significantly reduce traffic costs and latency.
Offerings include the IZO+ multi-cloud network, Edge Distribution Platform and ThreadSpan that eliminate silos, simplify operations and build trust across the digital continuum. As AI moves from pilot projects to the core of business decisions, companies will need to adapt their infrastructure to prepare for their AI ambitions, company officials said.
The first platform gives companies control over how data moves, what performance it performs and what costs it incurs. The second platform reduces latency and enables faster responses and real-time digital experiences. The third platform brings clarity and control to complex digital environments by providing a unified view of hybrid and multi-vendor networks. It combines visibility, manageability, security and automation across network, cloud and security domains.
“All platforms are addressing the issue of complexity. Multicloud networks today are very complex and manual. They leave the cloud connections open, which leads to unintended costs. There is cost leakage,” said AS Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO, Tata Communications.
The platforms also reduce latency, reducing the time for a task that might take a month to a few hours. According to Natarajan Sivasamban, EVP & Global Operations Head, the solutions can change industry definitions such as “Mean Time to Repair” (MTTR) to “Mean Time to Revenue” instead of “Mean Time to Tickets”.
